Early post-Weslyan MGMT (The Management) Frontman Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser do a live cover of "Invisible Touch" by Genesis. Ben gets down with his bad self while Andrew runs around in a suit with a Dinosaur head on. Got to love these guys.
for that ass.as adults we repress our imagination, as artist we smoke it back.what would have happened if we weren't taught that we were all of a sudden to old, or if we still couldn't see how sick the world is.adults are so damaged, the older you get the more afraid you are.one cant help but pass it on to their children, in an attempt to save them.people are growing brittle, everything they "create" has been created already but this time its cheaper and worse quality.sit and wonder for a second, where would your imagination be now if imaginations were still excepted?
This morning in a New York courtroom garbage-can rapper Lil Wayne pleaded guilty possession of a weapon in the second degree. The NYPD found a .40 caliber handgun on his tour bus in July '07. Wayne is also facing a trial for felony drug possession and weapons charges in Arizona in '08. In this case Wayne’s bus was reportedly holding 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine, 41 grams of ecstasy, drug paraphernalia and a handgun. Not that this should surprise anyone because he is always royally fucked up and his lyrics reflect this, to say the least. Lil Wayne will officially be sentenced in February. The NYPD takes weapon charges way serious reguardless of fame and the plea bargain carries a sentence of up to a year in prison. I'm sure this will disappoint many of the mindless idiots who enjoy listening to his music. Hopefully his absence from music will prove to be a good thing. While in jail he can no longer pollute the music world with further rediculousness. Maybe with his terrible music influence gone for a year Rap music can make a come back..
Unfortunately, the meaning behind this portrait of a love story will forever be unknown to me, but something about it gives me that nauseous feeling that reminds me that i never want to be in fucking "love" again.
